If it goes wrong, fix the cause — not the whole project.
My edge keeps opening
Remove some stuffing, then use several short overlapping tape pieces. Curves almost never hold with one long strip.
It feels too hard
Open the final seam and take out half the filling. A paper squishy needs a pocket of air to compress.
The tape wrinkled
Smooth the sheet flat first and apply smaller strips from the center outward. Wrinkles are easiest to prevent before cutting.
The pieces do not line up
Reprint at 100% and turn off any automatic scaling. Do not trim inside the black cut line.

What do I need to make a paper squishy?
You only need printer paper, clear tape, scissors, and a little light stuffing such as tissue or a clean bag. Use the template preview and print at 100% before cutting.
How do I make a paper squishy actually squish?
Leave a small pocket of air inside. Add light stuffing gradually, squeeze once to test it, and remove some filling if the shape feels hard.
Do I need a special printer or paper?
No. Regular printer paper works. The important setting is 100% or Actual size, with Fit to page turned off, so the outline and tabs still match.
Why do the paper squishy pieces not line up?
Automatic printer scaling is the most common cause. Reprint at 100%, check that every tab is inside the page edge, and do not trim inside the cut line.
Can a beginner make a 3D paper squishy?
Yes. Start with a box-like project with straight folds, make the easy seams first, and leave one straight opening for the stuffing. Save complex curves for a later project.
