Cookie Gift Box with Sliding Tray Paper Squishy

Assembly overview

1. Prepare the paper. Print S and T on printer-compatible 180-220 g/m² card; the cookies on 120-140 g/m² paper. Check the 50 mm bar. Prepare scissors, a ruler, a blunt scoring tool, thin glue, tape and soft tissue.
2. Cut eight pieces. For the coloring version, color first. Cut S, T, AT, AB, AW, BT, BB and BW on their outer lines. Keep every tab. Score the gray dashed folds without cutting through. J and O are not holes.
3. Build the tray T. Raise the short end walls. Turn their four J tabs inward. Apply a thin coat of glue to the printed J faces; bring the blank inside of the long walls against them. Press each corner from both sides. Keep the floor flat.
4. Close the sleeve S. Pre-fold all four long folds. Wrap the panels into a rectangular tube. Put thin glue on the printed J face; place it UNDER the blank reverse of the bottom edge, up to the dashed boundary. The notch belongs on top. Leave both ends open.
5. Let dry, then test. Let S and T dry separately. Slide the empty tray through an open end of S. It should move without force. Check square corners and stray glue if it binds. Keep sliding faces free of thick tape. Do not stuff the box.
6. Shape one cookie wall. Start with A. Gently curve AW along its length without adding vertical creases. Fold all small top and bottom tabs inward at the dashes. Each cookie uses ONE wall strip. The 8 mm J at its end is only an overlap.
7. Join the ring. Glue the printed J face of AW. Overlap the opposite starting edge onto it, stopping at the dashed J boundary. Press the seam with support inside. The net ring length is about 157.08 mm; do not add the 8 mm overlap to it.
8. Attach bottom AB. Turn the bottom tabs inward. Put glue on their printed faces, then lower the ring onto the blank back of AB; the printed bottom faces outward. Reach through the open top to press the tabs against AB. Let the base set.
9. Attach top AT, keep O open. Fold the top tabs inward and apply glue to their printed faces EXCEPT the last four O tabs. Place the blank back of AT on the tabs. Keep the full round top intact; only its edge above O stays unglued.
10. Fill through the edge. Lift only the loose AT edge above O. Add a little soft tissue through that side gap. Keep the cookie shallow. Glue the O tabs, lower the edge and support the bottom while pressing gently; add a short tape patch if needed.
11. Make cookie B. Repeat steps 6-10 with BW, BB and BT. Let both cookies dry and try them in T. If either bulges above the tray walls, reduce its filling before sealing fully. Both cookies remain separate and removable.
12. Load and slide. Place A and B flat, one behind the other, in T. Slide T into S after all glue has dried. Use the broad notch to grasp the tray rim; the entire tray can come out. Never glue it to S. Only the cookies are stuffed.
