Rainbow Cereal Bowl Paper Squishy

Assembly overview

1. Print and cut. Print both color OR both coloring pages at 100% / Actual Size. Turn off Fit to Page. Measure the 50 mm squares. Use 100–120 gsm paper. Cut W1, W2, T and B on the outer dark lines; keep every tab.
2. Two walls make one bowl. Use W1 AND W2 for one bowl. Each gives 150.80 mm of top arc and 100.53 mm of base arc, plus an 8 mm JOIN flap. A and B identify the two seams in these diagrams. Keep T tabs on the wider edge; do not cut the printed bands.
3. Glue seam A; keep B open. Left-to-right along the joined arc: W1 then W2. Glue the printed face of the W1 JOIN flap behind the blank back at the plain end of W2. Stop at the dotted line. The lower inset enlarges the overlap: gold is glue. Leave both B ends free.
4. Curve and close seam B. Curve the joined arc into ONE tapered ring, artwork outside. Glue the W2 JOIN flap behind the plain end of W1, again by 8 mm. The top-view map tracks both halves and both seams; the lower opening stays empty. Do not crease the dotted seams.
5. Turn tabs inward. Fold each small tab on its dashed root. T tabs point into the bowl and lie level with the top; B tabs point inward and lie level with the bottom. Because the wall slopes, these are not cylinder-style 90-degree folds. Keep the wall smoothly curved.
6. Attach the base from below. Apply glue to the underside of all B tabs. Place the 64 mm B disc underneath them, colored side facing down. Set the bowl on a flat surface and press the tabs onto B from inside the open top. Let the base set before lifting it.
7. Tape the entire base seam. Use short overlapping strips of clear tape around the full outside base edge, bridging the base disc and wall. Tape both wall joins too. Keep the top open. The green highlight in the drawing shows tape, not an extra cut part.
8. Fill through the open top. Add loose, soft tissue through the whole open top. Keep filling below the top tabs and away from glue areas. Do not pack tightly or force the sides outward. The top cover must remain flat, not domed.
9. Glue the upper tab faces. After filling, keep the tissue below the T tab roots. Apply a thin layer of glue to the TOP face of every inward T tab, highlighted in gold. Leave the cereal disc separate for now. The inset shows the disc above the glue and tabs.
10. Lower the flat cereal disc. Apply a thin coat of glue to the upper faces of all T tabs. Lower the 96 mm cereal disc onto them, picture facing up. Align the circular rim, then press gently around the edge, a few tabs at a time. Leave it flat while the glue sets.
11. Tape the whole top seam. Bridge the cover-to-wall seam with short overlapping clear-tape pieces around all 360 degrees. The green detail shows tape continuing from the flat top onto the outside wall. Work around the rim without doming the printed cover.
12. Check and let dry. Bridge the cover-to-wall seam with short, overlapping clear-tape strips around the entire circle. Recheck the bottom and both wall joins. Let dry, then squeeze gently. The bowl stays closed; the cereal rings and milk are printed artwork, not removable pieces.
