Assembly overview

  1. Print, label and cut. Choose color OR coloring in A4 or Letter. Print all 2 sheets at 100% / Actual Size, with Fit to Page off. Measure the 50 mm line. Color first. Write each part code lightly on its blank back before cutting. Cut all 5 pieces once. Fine decorative lines are not cuts.
  2. Fold the two shells. Fold A and B at 45 mm and 75 mm across their width. Each shell has one broad face, one side and an 8 mm J tab. Make right angles. Keep C and D flat; these end panels have no tabs.
  3. Join A to B. Place A with its printed side outward. Glue its full 8 mm J tab behind the plain long edge of B. Match both ends. The plain edge stops at the J fold. Support the seam from inside while pressing; do not glue the broad face.
  4. Close the rectangular tube. Bring B’s 8 mm J tab behind A’s remaining plain edge. Glue and press, using a ruler inside as support. Remove the ruler. Reinforce the two long seams with clear tape outside. Keep both ends open.
  5. Fit end C. Place C over one 45 × 30 mm opening, printed face outward. Match all four corners. Hold C against the rim and tape one straight edge first, then its opposite edge. The panel lies across the opening, not inside the tube.
  6. Tape all four edges of C. Wrap short clear tape over each right-angle end seam: half on C, half on the tube. The green section represents transparent tape. Overlap tape ends at the corners. Do not fold the paper end panel around the tube.
  7. Add loose filling. Turn the open end upward. Feed small loose tissue pieces along the tube. Spread lightly into corners and keep the broad panels nearly flat. Leave space to lay D flat on the rim; do not pack tightly.
  8. Close end D. Fit D to the remaining opening. Tape its four edges in the same way as C, overlapping at corners. Check both long joins and both ends. Let glue dry. The inner body must stay closed when its wrapper is handled.
  9. Wrap the sealed body. Pre-fold S. Place it printed side down. Center the body on the 46 mm band between 77 and 123 mm, leaving 25 mm at each end. Wrap the long panels around the body. Glue the 16 mm J overlap only to the opposite wrapper edge; keep glue off the inner body. The wrapper stays separate.
  10. Fold one end inward. At one end, push both narrow side sections inward against the end panel. This creates upper and lower broad flaps. Crease the diagonals by hand; do not cut slits or twist the end. Fold the upper broad flap down, then the lower one up. Use a small piece of clear tape on the wrapper only.
  11. Close the second wrapper end. Repeat those folds at the other end. The wrapper ends are folded flat, not twisted like candy. Check the printed face and central gingham band. To reopen, release the wrapper tape while leaving the stuffed inner block sealed.
