Kawaii Banana Paper Squishy

Assembly overview

1. Print both pages; cut six pieces. Choose color OR coloring. Print BOTH pages at 100% / Actual Size; do not Fit to Page. Check each 50 mm square. Before cutting, copy F/B and corner marks 1-4 onto the blank backs. Cut F, B, O, I, E1 and E2 once. Keep all tabs; do not cut the printed peel lines.
2. Fold tabs; shape the curves. Fold every F/B tab inward 90 degrees on its dashed root. Pre-fold the vertical dashed line at each 8 mm end tab to fit its body corner. Curve O around the outside and I into the inner dip. Keep E1/E2 flat. The peel stays closed; do not add slits or peel flaps.
3. Join the four wall pieces. Glue each 8 mm end tab BEHIND the next piece: O > E1 > I > E2 > O. The letter on the tab names the next piece. All F edges face the same rim. Net lengths: O 171.04 mm, I 119.13 mm, ends 12 mm each. Keep perimeter tabs clear of joins. Let set.
4. Fit and attach front F. Lay F artwork-down, with the dip up. In this BACK view, 1/4 are on the LEFT and 2/3 on the RIGHT. Match wall starts to the copied marks: O at 1, E1 at 2, I at 3, E2 at 4. O follows the long outer curve; I the inner dip. Glue all 27 F tabs behind F. Press through the open back and let set.
5. Fill through the open back. Leave the WHOLE back open. Add a little loose soft tissue and spread it gently toward both tips. Keep all B tabs free and leave room for B to sit flat. The tips are already closed by E1/E2. Do not fill through a new hole or push the banana into a round tube.
6. Close with the back B. Fold all 27 B tabs inward and flat. Apply a small amount of paper glue to each tab. Place B with the artwork OUT, matching the mirrored outline and marks 1-4. Press gently around the edge without sinking B into the filling. Let the glue set.
7. Tape BOTH whole perimeters. Seal all of F, then turn over and repeat on B, including both tips. Center 15 mm clear tape over each seam: at least 6 mm on panel AND wall. Outer curve: 6-8 mm pieces overlapping 2 mm. Inner dip: press 4-5 mm pieces into the curve in order, overlapping at least 1 mm. No gaps.
8. Seal four joins; dry and check. At marks 1-4, seal all four wall-to-end joins along the full 20 mm depth. Center 15 mm clear tape on each corner, press onto both surfaces and overlap the F/B edge tape at both ends. Let glue dry. Check both panel edges, all four joins and both end caps; reinforce lifting seams. Size: about 132 x 50 x 20 mm. Keep the peel closed; press gently.
