Little Fruit Bowl Paper Squishy

Assembly overview

1. Print and cut. Print all 3 color OR all 3 coloring pages at 100% / Actual Size, with Fit to Page off. Check each 50 mm square. Use 120–160 gsm for the bowl and 100–120 gsm for fruit. Cut 9 pieces on the dark outlines; keep the tabs.
2. Join W1 to W2. Both green sides face up. Apply a thin layer of glue on the printed JOIN flap of W1. Put the plain end of W2 over it, exactly on the dotted line: overlap 8 mm. Keep both wide rim edges aligned. The side view shows W2 above W1.
3. Close the second wall seam. The joined arc has seam A in the middle and a free yellow JOIN on W2. Bring the two B ends together. Glue W2 JOIN behind the plain end of W1, overlapping 8 mm. The enlarged section shows W1 above the glued flap. Close ONE ring, color outside; match the rim. Do not fold the dotted joins.
4. Fold only the bottom tabs. The larger rim stays bare and open. Fold all 32 B tabs inward on the dashed roots at the smaller edge. They must lie flat at base level. The wall slopes, so this is not a 90-degree cylinder fold. Do not crease the decorative cream band.
5. Attach B from underneath. Apply glue to the underside of the inward tabs. Place the 102 mm B disc below them, green face down and white face inside the bowl. Rest on a flat surface. Press the tabs onto B from inside through the open top. Let the glue set.
6. Tape the bowl seams. The top view locates seams A and B on ONE bowl. The separate exterior close-ups show tape bridging each joint from the open rim to the base. Tape the full outside base seam too, joining wall to disc all the way around. Green means tape. Keep the bowl empty and open.
7. Match the three fruit pairs. Group AF + AB (apple), OF + OB (orange), and SF + SB (strawberry). The B pieces are mirrored. Keep all leaves, seeds and wedges as printed details. Color first if using the coloring version. Do not cut any internal artwork.
8. Align the apple faces. Place AF and AB back-to-back, pictures facing outward. Match the top dip, lower dip and full outline. Do not glue the flat faces together: the middle must remain hollow. The edge view shows the two printed faces on the outside.
9. Tape around, leaving a gap. Bridge both paper edges with short overlapping clear-tape pieces. Work around the apple, leaving one continuous 20 mm gap at the bottom. Use short pieces around the rounded dips. Keep the two outlines aligned and the gap accessible.
10. Fill the small pouch lightly. Feed small loose pieces of soft tissue through the bottom gap. Use very little filling: the finished pouch should be no more than 10 mm thick. Keep the edge clear of tissue. Do not stretch the paper or force the faces into a ball.
11. Seal and repeat twice. Dark green on each fruit closes its former 20 mm bottom gap and meets the existing rim tape. The enlarged AF/AB edge view shows tape wrapping both paper faces; keep the middle hollow. Check the entire edge. Repeat steps 8–10 with OF + OB and SF + SB, then seal their bottom gaps the same way. You have three separate shallow fruit pouches.
12. Put the fruits in the bowl. Place all three fruits loosely face-up in the bowl, following the top view. They are removable; do not glue them in. The 102 mm base holds the three lightly filled pieces flat. If they crowd, reduce filling instead of bending the bowl.
