English assembly guide 3 / 3

Follow all 12 steps. Seal and lightly fill each body. Fold the nib, spread its two glue feet in opposite directions and glue them onto the T box. Keep caps empty and their striped ends open; slide to the printed FIT line after drying.

Assembly overview

  1. Print and match the parts. Print all 3 color OR all 3 coloring pages at 100% / Actual Size, without Fit to Page. Use 120–160 gsm paper. Check all 50 mm squares. Copy B/C/T numbers to the backs, then cut the outer outlines; keep every tab. Each pen needs one B, one T and one C with matching numbers.
  2. Fold and join the body. Crease the dashed lines of B. Fold its four 18 mm panels into a square tube, picture outside. Glue the 8 mm JOIN flap behind the plain long edge. Match the corners; tape the full outside long seam. Leave both ends open. The next picture looks directly into the bottom end.
  3. Close the bottom first. Use the end with the large square on panel 3, opposite the square marked T. Fold the three small tabs inward and apply glue to their outward-facing surfaces. Fold the attached large square over them. Press, let set, then tape all four bottom edges. Turn the body upright, T end at the top.
  4. Fill through the open top. Keep the top square and all three top tabs open. Add loose soft tissue through this opening. Stop below the tab roots; keep the walls straight and the glue areas clear. Do not fill the separate cap. Close the body top in the next step.
  5. Fold tabs, then close the top. Left: look down into the top. Fold the three small tabs inward; yellow marks their glue faces. Apply glue there. Fold the attached large square across the opening, with its printed T box outside. Press and let set. Tape all four top edges, keeping the T box bare for gluing the nib.
  6. Fold T; glue only the nib. Fold T on its central dashed line so the blank backs of the colored nib meet. Glue these two backs together and press flat. Keep both small feet free: do not glue them together. The right picture separates the two paper layers slightly so you can see both loose feet.
  7. Spread the two feet apart. Bend one foot each way along its dashed root, 90 degrees from the upright nib. Side view: the two feet now form a flat base on opposite sides. Put a thin coat of glue only on their undersides, marked yellow. Keep the colored nib upright; do not fold or stuff it.
  8. Glue both feet into the T box. Place both feet inside the matching T box on the closed body top. Left: lowering in side view. Right: the attached nib standing on both feet. Press both feet flat while holding the nib upright. Let dry. The nib is glued on top; there is no slit to cut or hole to push it into.
  9. Make the cap tube. Take C with the matching number. Fold its four 22 mm panels into a square tube, picture outside. Glue JOIN behind the plain long edge and tape the outside seam. Leave both ends open. One end has three tabs and the numbered square; the striped end has no closing tabs.
  10. Close the numbered end only. At the numbered end, fold the three tabs inward, glue their outside faces, then fold the attached numbered square over them. Tape the four closed edges. Leave the striped end open and empty. The right-hand view looks into that opening. Wrap thin tape over the rim only, never across the hole.
  11. Turn the opening down; fit. Left: turn the cap so its striped open end faces down. Slide it straight over the dry nib and body until the lower rim reaches FIT, 20 mm below the body top. Right: a cutaway shows the same fit. FIT is a printed guide, not a stop. Do not force, glue on or fill the cap.
  12. Repeat, then check all three. Repeat with B2/T2/C2 and B3/T3/C3. Check all seams, both nib feet, and that every cap slides off gently. Hold the body rather than pulling the nib. You have 3 paper pens and 3 separate empty caps. These are pretend-play markers; they do not write.

FAQ

Do these markers write?

No. They are paper pretend-play markers with flat folded nibs. All three caps lift off. Match B1/T1/C1, B2/T2/C2 and B3/T3/C3; do not glue caps to bodies.
