What you'll need

• Use 80–100 gsm paper, scissors, clear tape, glue stick and loose tissue. Light filling only. Ask an adult for help with cutting.

Assembly overview

1. Print, check and cut. Print BOTH cut sheets at 100% / Actual Size. The test line must measure 50 mm. Color first if needed. Write every part code on its back. Cut the solid outer lines; do not cut folds.
2. Pre-fold the eight body panels. Keep the printed side outside. G01–G08 all have the same outline. Gently bend each dashed cross-line to follow the profile shown. The narrow end receives F at the top; the wide end receives B underneath.
3. Tape matching side edges. Join G01’s right edge to G02’s left, then add G03–G08 in order. Match every cross-fold endpoint. Butt the edges together; bridge each straight section with clear tape outside. Press from the open inside. Let the shell curve as you add panels.
4. Close the ring; fit F. Join the last side of G08 to G01, one straight section at a time. Tape F to the matching eight-edge opening, printed side out. Tape one edge, align the opposite edge, then seal the rest. Leave the B opening completely open.
5. Fill through B, then close. Add small loose tufts through the B opening. Stop before the shell feels tight. Set B flush in the opening, printed side out. Hold it from outside and tape opposite edges first, then every remaining edge. Do not force or overlap the paper edges.
6. Fold the cone K. Crease the seven long internal lines and the J fold. Keep the waffle pattern outside. Wrap the eight faces into a cone. Glue the side tab J UNDER the first free edge; align the top and bottom before pressing. Leave the eight upper tabs unfolded until step 8.
7. Close C; fill the cone. Fit C to the small bottom opening, color out. Tape its eight edges from outside. Add a little loose tissue through the large top opening. Leave the upper tabs clear; the cone must not bulge.
8. Fold the rim; glue collar R. Cut out R and its marked inner octagon. Fold K’s eight beveled tabs inward until their top faces lie flat in one plane. Center R on them, with its inner octagon parallel to the cone rim; the scallops extend outside. Glue R to the tabs and press through the open center.
9. Attach the sealed scoop. The scoop must already be closed with B. Apply glue to the top of R where it contacts B, not in the central hole. Center B on R with the smile forward; press gently around the rim. Let the glue dry before handling.
10. Check both shells. Check F at the scoop top, B underneath, C at the cone bottom and R between scoop and cone. All eight cone tabs support R. The scoop is about 68 mm corner to corner; collar 78 mm; whole model about 114 mm tall.
