Wavy Bacon Strip Paper Squishy

Assembly overview

1. Print and cut four pieces. Print both color OR both coloring pages at 100% / Actual Size, with Fit to Page off. Check every 50 mm square. Use 100–120 gsm paper. Cut F, B, W1 and W2 on the outer dark lines. Keep the tabs. The pale fat bands and roast specks are printed decoration.
2. Fold tabs, curve the walls. Fold the small 5 mm F and B tabs inward about 90 degrees on their dashed roots. Curve the wall bodies smoothly; do not crease across the wavy artwork. W2 has one intentional space without a tab near its start. Do not add a tab there.
3. Join the two loose strips. Keep all F tabs on the same side and the colored walls facing up. Glue the printed JOIN flap of W1 BEHIND the plain start of W2, overlapping 8 mm. Put the starting edge exactly on the dotted line at 2. You now have one long W1 + W2 strip; its far JOIN stays free.
4. Close the wall around F. Use loose F as a guide. Follow 1 down the right edge with W1 to 2; W2 returns up the left edge to 1. At seam 1, glue the yellow W2 JOIN under the plain start of W1. The enlarged section shows W1 above the flap: overlap 8 mm, with its edge on the dotted line. Close ONE wavy ring. Keep F loose for now.
5. Glue F onto its tabs. Keep the color outside and both tab rows pointing inward. Match the numbers 1 and 2. Apply thin glue to the outward faces of the F tabs, then place F on top with its printed side out. The tabs sit under the blank back of F. Press a few tabs at a time. Leave B off.
6. Tape the front and both end seams. Tape the whole F perimeter onto the wall with short overlapping clear-tape pieces. The separate exterior views show end joins 1 and 2: center tape across each W1/W2 seam, from the F edge to the B edge, covering all 16 mm. Green means tape. These are two views of the same strip. Keep the back open.
7. Turn over and match B. Turn the shell over. Dry-fit mirrored B, picture outward, matching 1 to 1 and 2 to 2. Keep the FILL marking beside the four ! tabs on W2. B has no smile. Do not rotate it end-for-end or cut a separate filling hole.
8. Glue B, leaving the marked seam. Glue B onto the B-side tabs EXCEPT the four marked !. Leave the continuous 32 mm FILL seam unglued and untaped. The opening is between B and the wall, not through the printed face. Keep it accessible so you can insert tissue.
9. Add loose filling. Feed small loose pieces of soft tissue through the ! opening. Spread gently along the strip. Keep the body shallow and the 16 mm wall relaxed. Stop before either face bulges or the joins pull apart. Keep tissue away from the four loose tabs.
10. Close the four remaining tabs. Move tissue away from the opening. Apply a little glue to the four ! tabs and tuck them under the blank back of B. Press B onto them, aligning the contour. The side section shows B above the tabs. Let this seam set.
11. Tape the entire back seam. Bridge B to the wall with short overlapping clear-tape pieces all the way around, including the former FILL opening and the intentional tab-free space. Cover any small gap where the rim tape meets a wall join. Do not tape only the filled opening.
12. Check and squeeze gently. You have one shallow bacon strip with a smile on F and two printed fat bands. Check both full face seams and both wall joins. Let the glue dry, then squeeze lightly. Keep the broad waves smooth; do not fold the strip into sharp cooked-bacon pleats.
