The cream spiral is printed on flat end pieces. The paper roll does not unroll or split into slices.

Assembly overview

  1. Three pieces. W is the outer skin; A and B are the two Ø64 mm ends. The cream spiral is printed. The cake does not unroll or separate into slices.
  2. Print, check and cut. Print both sheets of one style at 100%. Measure the 50 mm line at the bottom of each template sheet. Color, then cut W, A and B; keep the 8 mm JOIN on W.
  3. Curve the skin. Curl W along its 201.06 mm direction, print outside. The 110 mm direction stays straight and becomes the length of the roll. Do not crease the skin.
  4. Glue the tube seam. Put glue on the printed JOIN face. Bring the opposite 110 mm edge over it to the dashed limit: 8 mm overlap. Press from inside and let dry.
  5. Tape on end A. Place A print down and stand W on its blank back. Align the round edges. Short clear tape bridges the outside skin and printed A.
  6. Seal and fill. Seal all of A’s rim with 6–8 mm wide tape pieces, half on each surface. Turn A down. Add a little loose filling through the open end.
  7. Place end B. Lay B print up on the open end. Keep the rim circular. Tack opposite points with tape. The spiral is a flat printed surface, not an extra piece.
  8. Seal the second end. Close the full B rim with overlapping short tape pieces. Press from outside. Keep filling away from the seam. Check for gaps.
  9. Finish the roll. Let glue dry. Lay the roll on its side, seam underneath. Finished size: Ø64 × 110 mm. Squeeze gently; this paper toy is not food.
