Assembly overview

1. Print and check. Print both template pages at 100%; check 50 mm. Use 160-200 gsm paper, scissors and paper glue. This hollow paper model contains no filling or liquids. Color before cutting if desired.
2. Cut four parts. Cut A, B, C and D on solid outlines, keeping all tabs. Do not cut D’s center square: it is an alignment mark. A is the bottle, B the cap, C the wand, D the mounting plate.
3. Make bottle A. Fold the four panels on dashed lines. Glue the printed face of side tab J beneath the opposite edge to the stop line. The body forms a 28 × 28 mm tube. The long open end remains open.
4. Close the bottle base. Fold the three tabs around A’s square end inward. Apply glue to their printed sides and tuck them inside the tube. Close the bottom, pressing from the open end. Let dry. Do not close the opposite opening.
5. Build wand C. Fold C into a 6 × 6 mm square tube. Glue J inside the opposite edge. Fold and glue its small bottom face shut. The colored tip is at this end. Fold the four top tabs outward.
6. Attach C to D. Center the open top of C on D’s marked square. Glue the upward-facing blank sides of the four flared tabs to D’s marked face. The shaft projects away from D. Let dry; do not fold the tabs down the shaft.
7. Mount inside cap B. Turn B over, blank side up. Glue D’s unmarked back centrally onto the inside of B’s 30 mm square roof, leaving 0.5 mm around D. C points away from the roof. Keep glue off the moving shaft.
8. Close cap B. Fold the walls around the wand. Glue side tab J under the opposite wall edge. Fold the roof tabs inward and glue their printed faces inside the walls. The wand is now fixed under the closed roof; the cap bottom stays open.
9. Fit without glue. Let all glue dry. Insert C into A; slide B down over A by 15 mm to the thin green line. Do not fold that line. The cap should slide gently; stop if tight. Never glue B to A.
10. Pull open and close. Lift B straight up; C comes out with it. Lower gently to close again. Closed height: 110 mm. Paper model only: keep dry and do not apply to lips. Do not add filling that blocks the wand.
