Assembly overview
- Print and check. Print both cutting sheets of one version. Check the 50 mm line. A is the jar wall, B the base, C the cream top, D the lid wall and E the lid top. Five pieces in total.
- Color, cut and fold. Color before cutting. Cut the five outer contours, including every small tab. Fold the small tabs inward at their dashed roots. Gently curve A and D; do not fold the straight J1/J2 stop lines.
- Close the jar wall. Keep the print outside. Apply glue to the printed face of J1. Bring the opposite straight edge of A over J1, exactly to its stop line: 8 mm overlap. Press from inside and let dry. Both ends stay open.
- Attach the base B. Fold the lower tabs inward. Glue their outward-facing printed surfaces. Put B under the tabs, flower facing down. Align the round edge with the wall. Press each tab from inside while the top is still open.
- Add a little filling. Wait for the base to dry. Loosely add soft filling through the open top. Leave room for the upper tabs and keep the top flat. Too much filling bulges the wall and blocks the lid.
- Seal with cream top C. Fold the upper tabs inward and glue their upward printed surfaces. Place C on top, swirl facing up. Press gently around the edge, supporting the wall. Let dry. The printed cream stays sealed to the jar.
- Make the lid wall D. Curve D with the print outside. Glue the printed face of J2 and overlap the opposite edge to the stop line by 8 mm. Press the seam from inside. Fold only the upper tabs inward. The lower edge stays open.
- Attach lid top E. Glue the upward printed surfaces of the tabs. Place E on top, flower facing up. Support each tab from inside the open bottom while pressing. Let dry completely. Do not add filling or glue the lid to the jar.
- Try the removable lid. Lower the lid straight over the sealed jar, without forcing. Lift it off to see the swirl. Avoid thick tape around the upper 16 mm of the jar. If it catches, check roundness and glue lumps before trying again.
