What you'll need

  • Print both color OR both coloring sheets at 100%. Check the 50 mm line. Cut G1–G8, B, L1–L3 and C. Use 100–140 gsm paper, glue, narrow clear tape and a small amount of soft filling.

Assembly overview

  1. Print and sort the 13 parts. Print both color OR both coloring sheets at 100%. Check the 50 mm line. Cut G1–G8, B, L1–L3 and C. Use 100–140 gsm paper, glue, narrow clear tape and a small amount of soft filling.
  2. Shape the eight body panels. Pre-fold each G panel at its four horizontal dashed lines. Keep the printed surface outside. All eight panels have the same shape. Match their widest points and every horizontal fold level.
  3. Join the body, one seam at a time. Bring the right edge of G1 to the left edge of G2. The edges touch without overlapping. Bridge each straight seam segment on the OUTSIDE with a 5–6 mm-wide piece of clear tape. Continue G2 to G3 through G8, keeping the rounded body shape.
  4. Close the body and add B. Join G8 back to G1 with the same outside tape. Both ends are still open. Align the eight edges of B with the small bottom opening and tape across each edge. Leave the larger neck open.
  5. Add a little filling. Add soft filling through the neck. Keep the upper 15 mm of the neck clear for the leaves. Fill loosely so the body stays soft. The body is 80 mm high and about 36 mm wide.
  6. Fold and close each leaf tube. Pre-fold all vertical dashed lines on L1–L3. Put glue on the PRINTED side of the 3 mm side tab and cover it with the opposite edge, up to the tab root. Make a six-sided tube. Leave both ends open. The thin pale insertion line is not a fold.
  7. Bundle the three leaves. Align the three BOTTOM ends, keeping the different top heights. Wrap C around the lowest 8 mm of the bundle; glue its overlap to itself, without flattening the tubes. The bundle must fit inside the neck without force.
  8. Insert and secure the leaves. Insert the aligned ends 15 mm into the neck, stopping at the pale lines. Bridge the neck rim and the leaf bundle with several narrow clear-tape strips. Keep all three leaf tops open. The tallest point is about 175 mm above the base.
