Assembly overview

  1. Print, label and cut. Choose color OR coloring in A4 or Letter. Print all 2 sheets at 100% / Actual Size, with Fit to Page off. Measure the 50 mm line. Color first. Write each part code lightly on its blank back before cutting. Cut all 4 pieces once. Fine decorative lines are not cuts.
  2. Curve the wall strips. Use ALL 2 wall strips for one body: W1 + W2. Each has 166.09 mm of net wall plus an 8 mm J end. Curve them gently along F’s perimeter. The J line marks the overlap; it is not a sharp corner in the finished curved wall.
  3. Join the strips in order. Glue W1’s full 8 mm J end behind W2’s plain start. Align both long edges. Stop each plain edge at the J line. The lower diagram shows the tab hidden underneath the next strip.
  4. Close ONE wall ring. Join the last J end behind W1’s plain start. The closed ring uses W1 + W2; do not make a separate ring from each strip. The net perimeter is 332.17 mm, excluding overlaps. Let the joins dry. Dry-fit the ring against F without stretching it.
  5. Attach the front F. Keep F picture outward and fit the whole ring to its outline. Tape a short section first, then work around both sides. The wall must follow every curve, with no straight bridge across a curved edge. Keep B loose until F is fully attached.
  6. Tape around the curved seam. Use short overlapping pieces of transparent tape: half on F, half around onto the wall. Press each piece into the curve. The green section shows the right-angle turn. Tape the ENTIRE front perimeter. Do not bend the front paper into a glue tab.
  7. Fit B and leave a filling seam. Turn the body over. Align B with F, plain back facing the inside. Tape B to the wall except for 30 mm centered along the lower seam. Keep that existing seam loose; do not cut a new hole. Check the two faces are aligned before continuing.
  8. Fill through the lower BACK seam. Push small loose tissue pieces through the 30 mm seam on B. Distribute gently, keeping the wall height even. Leave room to close the gap. Do not pull the wall away from the front or pack the paper until it becomes hard.
  9. Seal the same seam. Bring B’s lower edge back to the wall. Close the complete 30 mm opening with overlapping transparent tape, including both ends. Check both face perimeters and every wall join. No filling should be caught in the seam.
  10. Check the finished body. Let glue dry before a gentle squeeze. Inspect any lifted tape and reinforce it with short pieces. This is a shallow stuffed paper body. Pleat shading and color bands are printed decoration; keep the face clear and avoid overfilling.
