Assembly overview

  1. Prepare 13 pieces. Print 3 sheets in one style at 100%; check the 50 mm line. Body: 100–140 gsm; legs and ears: 160–180 gsm. Use scissors, glue, 6 mm clear tape and soft filling. Color first. Copy part codes and edge numbers onto blank backs before cutting.
  2. Join the body band. Fold SW1–3 at the dashed lines. SW1 covers edges 1–7, SW2 8–12, SW3 13–16. Join their short ends edge to edge with tape, including the final end joint. No overlap: 38 mm is body depth. Shape the band to S1.
  3. Fit the first side. Match each numbered band edge to S1, printed face outside. Bridge each outer seam with short tape strips, half on the side and half on the wall. Follow edges 1–16 and keep the opposite rim open.
  4. Close and lightly fill. Fit mirrored S2 on the open rim, face outside and nose at the same end as S1. Tape all edges except belly edge 13. Add a little loose filling through 13, then tape it shut. Keep the 70 mm belly edge flat.
  5. Fold four hollow legs. For each K1–K4, fold all dashed lines. Wrap the four 14 mm panels into a square tube. Glue the 6 mm JOIN flap INSIDE the first panel, colored side of flap against its blank back. Keep the 14 × 14 mm tube open at both ends.
  6. Close the leg lids. Close B first, then T. Fold each lid's three 4 mm tabs inward; put glue on their OUTER faces and insert inside the tube. Lid faces remain outside and flush with tube ends. Let dry; do not fill legs. Each leg is 22 mm tall.
  7. Attach the four legs. Turn the body over. Glue each 14 × 14 mm T face under flat belly edge 13. Front pair: 2 mm from belly's nose end; rear pair: 52 mm from it. At each position, align one leg with each side rim, leaving 10 mm between. Let dry while supporting the body.
  8. Laminate the ears. Glue E1a/E1b and E2a/E2b with blank backs together. Align outlines and keep printed faces outside. Let dry flat. These are two flat double-sided ears, not hollow pieces.
  9. Attach the ears. Keep each 4 mm root flat; do not fold it. Place roots on opposite head sides: front edge 32 mm behind the nose, upper edge 8 mm below the highest point of the body. Ears point upward, printed faces outside. Apply glue only to the bottom 4 mm of each ear, on the face touching the body. The unglued area above the root may also lie over the head side.
  10. Finish and handle gently. Check all seams, four closed legs and both ears. Body length is 150 mm, depth 38 mm; total height is about 76 mm. Lift by supporting the body, not ears or legs. If pressing, press the softly filled body very gently; keep legs dry and unloaded.
