Glue the upper face of the 15 mm stem root under B1, along the long centerline, 8–23 mm inward from A. The stem extends 35 mm beyond A; total length is 175 mm. Let dry flat without pressing the raised roof. Lift by the blade.

Assembly overview

  1. Prepare seven pieces. Print 2 sheets in one style at 100%; check 50 mm. Use 160–180 gsm paper, scissors, glue and 6 mm clear tape. Color first. Copy T1–4, B1, P1/P2, vertex letters and edge numbers onto blank backs before cutting. Leaf veins are decoration; do not cut or fold them.
  2. Join the first two facets. Set T1 (A–B–O) beside T2 (B–C–O), printed faces outward. Match B to B and O to O. Butt their BO edges without overlap; bridge the OUTSIDE with 6 mm tape, half on each panel. Keep the joint hinged, not forced flat.
  3. Join the other two facets. Repeat with T3 (C–D–O) and T4 (D–A–O). Match D and O and tape the DO seam on the outside. You now have two hinged halves. Keep A, B, C and D around the perimeter; all O points belong at the raised center.
  4. Raise and close the roof. Bring the halves together. Match and tape AO first, then CO, printed sides outside. The four O corners meet 12 mm above the base plane. Leave the underside open. Do not flatten the roof or crease along printed veins.
  5. Fit the flat base. Diagram: B1 has its blank inner face up. Lift B1 beneath the roof, blank side inward. Match A/B/C/D to the same roof vertices. Tape outer edge 1 (AB), then 2 (BC): half the tape on the sloping roof, half folded under B1. Keep B1 flat and O raised.
  6. Close the empty leaf. Diagram: view from above the roof. Close edge 3 (CD), then 4 (DA) in the same way. Use short tape sections around corners, keeping every seam edge to edge. Add NO filling. The sealed leaf blade is 140 × 76 mm and 12 mm high at O.
  7. Laminate the stem. Glue P1 and P2 with blank backs together. Keep their 58 × 8 mm outlines aligned and both printed faces outside. Press flat while the glue dries. Keep the final 15 mm root area available for attachment; do not fold the stem.
  8. Glue the stem under the base. Diagram: printed underside, D at the top and B at the bottom. Turn the leaf over. Glue the upper face of the 15 mm stem root under B1, along the long centerline, 8–23 mm inward from A. The stem extends 35 mm beyond A; total length is 175 mm. Let dry flat without pressing the raised roof. Lift by the blade.
